• All participants will be muted on entry. Please DO NOT unmute yourself or cut off the speaker at anytime during the Session • Please remain on MUTE at all times. The trainer will unmute you if required. The Host will explain how you can communicate when asking a question
•Gallery View shows everyone in the meeting. Speaker View shows only the speaker and minimizes everyone else. For learning, it is best to choose speaker view so you are not distracted by others.
•For The Best Zoom Experience • It is best to use Zoom on a desktop / laptop computer.
• Have a strong wifi signal: You need a good ADSL or wifi signal to ensure the Zoom meeting streams smoothly. An Ethernet connection is always best but wifi is also fine. • Make sure nothing else is draining the bandwidth of your internet connection while you are on Zoom.
Close down all programs on your computer except zoom to ensure the best learning and connection experience.

If you are using ZOOM for the first time, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a join a meeting link or you can download the Zoom app here: https://zoom.us/download. If you're unable to connect via your desktop or laptop device, you can opt to dial in using your mobile. Dial by your location and enter the Meeting ID and / or meeting password prior to the session starting. • When you login for the Zoom meeting, a please wait page will show with a message advising waiting on Host to open the meeting.
The main tools you will use during the training are:
Camera:
Untick the camera icon so we can see your face
Mute button:
You will be muted when you log on. To unmute, you can click on the microphone icon on the navigation controls
Chat:
You can click on the chat icon to view the conversations, respond with emoji's or interact with the trainer and fellow attendees.
You can also select from the drop down to send a message just to the trainer or another member.
Captions:
You can click on the captions tab to display captions if easier.

IMPORTANT:
You may be prompted to check your audio & video settings once you log on. ALWAYS check your settings at the prompt. Otherwise you can go into the settings in your profile & select Audio. Press the test speaker & test microphone to ensure you have sound. Note: check that you haven’t got audio connected to headphones or earbuds that you aren’t actually wearing.
Do the same for your video if you cannot see the trainer on the screen or yourself. During meetings it is desirable to your face on camera.
You can react or interact with the class through the chat. Please watch this short video on how to confirm your zoom settings have emojis etc enabled.
